The ADORNIA girl possesses an inherent style all her own. She is an independent woman and is the epitome of modern femininity. She values quality and design in her purchases, demands superior service, and enjoys a luxurious shopping experience. She feels just as comfortable in a cocktail dress as a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, but she never leaves the house unadorned. Jewelry is always part of her vocabulary.
ADORNIA was founded in 2012 by two friends and jewelry enthusiasts Becca and Moran, aka Bex and Mo. Bex and Mo met in business school while pursuing their MBAs at Wharton. They clicked instantly and became fast friends through mutual personal and professional interests, one of which being their love for jewelry. ADORNIA was born out of the observation that there was no premiere site online to purchase truly stylish fine jewelry. Bex and Mo believe that every woman deserves a jewelry brand that provides upmost style without compromising on quality.
Becca Aronson, aka Bex, was born in Manhattan but grew up in nearby Greenwich Connecticut, always knowing she’d be back in the city one day. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 she moved back to NYC where she worked as an accessories editor for LUCKY Magazine and a fashion editor for REDBOOK Magazine. After 6 years of honing her fashion eye in the editorial world Bex decided to go back to school and get her MBA at Wharton. Bex has a shoe collection to rival Carrie Bradshaw’s and you'll never find her wearing less than 5 jewelry items at a time as she considers "minimalist" to be a dirty word.
Moran Amir, aka Mo, grew up in South Florida but considers herself the progeny of downtown NYC and an NYU education, i.e. a true "New Yorker." Mo spent her time in NYC wisely doing retail operations for both Catherine Malandrino and Diesel. She left the city in 2011 to get her MBA at Wharton, but is filling the days until her return with summers in Brooklyn and frequent trips back and forth from school. Mo’s been preparing for a career on Seventh Avenue since she was a child when instead of fairy tales she fell asleep listening to the words of WWD and Vogue as her bedtime stories. Her investment philosophy: mix high and low, but never compromise on construction, materials, and quality in your accessories, especially your jewelry.
